Anemia is generally taken to mean a lack of iron in the diet. However it really reflects a lack of oxygen in the blood, which can be a result of a number of factors.
The body has trouble absorbing most forms of iron suplements in tablet form. This is why I am not too impressed by the prescription of iron supplements as the main response of the pharmaceutical profession to clinical anaemia.
My anaemia mix contains herbs, which will safely assist with all the processes listed above (with the exception of the exercise). You can help further by drinking Rosehips Tea and eating some meat and plenty of green vegetables.
The full list of herbs in my standard Anaemia mix includes:- Comfrey, Nettle, Red Clover, Echinacaea, Sage, Rue, Elecampane and Yarrow. Added to this are the Bach Flower Remedies Wild Rose, Pine, and Olive.
Please consult your Herbalist if, after a course of 3 to 6 months on the mix and with better habits, the symptoms return after stopping the mix. There will be other issues which need specific attention.
