I am very grateful to Doctor McDowell and his staff. Charley Boy is like a puppy again. When he runs down the sidewalk he has a little skip in his step. Before when he was on conventional meds he always seemed sluggish, stumbling around like an old dog. Since he started on the heart tonic and anti inflammatory herbs he has made astounding progress. It has only been three weeks and his activity level has changed 100%, running here and there. Not in the three years that I have had him have I seen that much activity.
I love my babies, not as little animals but as the little souls they are. With his new tonic it looks like his new life is now possible. I have the deepest gratitude for Dr. McDowell and his staff. May they all be blessed for what they are doing for those who cannot help themselves.

My name is Charley Boy, but as of late my mom has been calling me Super Man and I'll tell you why. I'm a fifteen year old chihuahua and I use to be really sick. My mom, Carla, came to San Antonio Texas to adopt me.
When my Mom came to get me I needed a lot of care. I had epilepsy and some other issues. First day home we went to the vet. I also had sores up and down my back from some sort of flea med stuff. My nails were so long I had a hard time walking. I always had trouble eating because my teeth hurt me a lot. The next day I had to have emergency surgery for infection in my teeth. I sure felt good after all that.
My mom got some great salve to put on my back that healed all my sores and now I could walk and chew again it was really great. After about 9 months I woke up one morning and could not move my neck. Off we went to the vet again who sent us to another vet in another city and charged us a lot of dollars. He said my Mom should put me to sleep and I wasn't very sleepy so I was glad when my Mom said No.
Mom bought me a special bed called a playpen and put super blankets in it and heating pad. It was warm and felt great. She made this special white brace for around my neck and put these little heating pads in it and the greatest part was I got a special neck massage three times everyday. My dad built me a rack for my food so I didn't have to put my head down to eat because that really hurt.
All went well for awhile and I could walk and move again.
I started feeling bad again and to the vet we went again. Now they said I have a heart murmur and put me on some more meds. My mom really doesn't like meds at all. They told my Mom I could not walk outside anymore but she let me anyway on really good weather days.
One day Mom came home and she was stoked about a new Doctor she found. He really loved animals because he gave her all this help on the internet, he made special tonics out of herbs, and boy Mom loves that. I stay in a playpen because Mom is afraid my brothers and sisters will hurt me while she is at work. Mostly I just lay there on the warm pad but I do get excited when Mom comes home, but lately I feel like I could jump out of that pen.
This past week I have felt so good that I decided to go exploring. I found a pile of pillows and blankets and climbed them. I could see my Mom but she was sitting two chairs over.
So I jumped to the first chair and heard Mom call (didn't know she was calling me to stop) so I jumped from the first chair right into her lap. It must have been a good thing because she picked me up and we danced all over the house. Two days ago I found my way back to the top of the crate. I decided to skip the first chair and jump straight to Mom. I didn't realize Mom was sitting 12 feet away and I jumped all the way across the room and now Mom is calling me Superman.
