Jake's Osteosarcoma
Dear Dr. McDowell,
Our dog Jake was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on April 1, 2003 and was given 3-6 months to live by the specialist who diagnosed him. He recommended that we amputate Jake's leg and begin chemotherapy.We declined.
A few weeks later we found your website and ordered the Osteosarcoma Bone Support and the Maritime Pine Bark Extract, we also started him on the BARF diet after ordering "Give Your Dog a Bone".
More than one year later, Jake is still going strong. Over the past few months, he seems to limp more often, but he is still happy and active. He never cries or whines and does not appear to be experiencing significant pain. He is a very stoic dog; however, so I often worry he feels more pain than he reveals. We give him Rimadyl daily to help manage his discomfort/pain.
Thank you so much for your website, herbal treatments, and knowledge regarding the care of dogs. We will never again resort to commercial dog foods to feed any other dog we may have in the future, since they seem to be the root of most dog ailments. We truly believe that we still have Jake with us today because of your treatments and knowledge.
