Endurance Mix 100ml Bottle. Dose 25 drops for rider, 50 drops for mount: $41 (Note: This mix should be given 3 times per day leading up to an event and then at each rest stop on the day.) The keys to endurance are fitness and physical soundness, heart, lung and circulation efficiency and kidney health. The herbs in the endurance mix when given to athletes, equine and otherwise in the peak of health, will both enhance performance and protect all these systems from damage and stress. You will be aware of the benefits during the very first event on the treatment by your horses performance, recovery rates and by observing the readings at the Vet checks. Dose is given at a rate of 25 drops (1 squirt) for people and 50 drops (2 squirts) for horses before the start and at every stop along the way. In addition to this mixture I recommend that Endurance horses are given a litre of cold Rosehips Tea twice daily when in full training and competition. Many of my endurance customers share this mix with their horses, during events.
Nervous Episode Tonic 500 ml Bottle. Dose 20ml twice daily: $88.50 (Note: The cap from the bottle holds approx 10ml) This regimen is given during 48 hours prior to an event by mixing the dose with other treatments or water and syringing over the tongue. This tonic is used as the name suggests and is administered to a horse that reacts to a particular event or episode but is generally well behaved in normal situations. My first approach is always to try to resolve the problem with the Nervous System Rehabilitation tonic and only go to the Episode Tonic when the former is not enough for competition day. The treatment is administered 48 hours prior to the particular circumstance e.g. showground, enclosed arena, barrier or racetrack etc, and then reduced to 24 hours prior and then to the day of the event, as we get improvements. Unlike synthetic drugs, this mix does not swab and will not act as a sedative but will enhance performance and focus concentration.
Nervous Rehabilitation Mix 1 lt. Bottle, Dose 10ml twice daily: $77.50.50 (Note: The cap from the bottle holds approx 10ml - at the recommended dose the course will last 7 weeks) This extract is formulated to nourish and calm the nervous disposition. It contains herbal nervous system tonics to allow change to a nervy horse's nature and pattern of reaction to certain circumstances. Your horse will become much calmer and more confident under stress and will return to form more quickly after competition. The results are quickly seen and are sustainable. Over a short period, the animal is weaned down to low levels and often, after a full 12 weeks course, can be taken off the mix altogether. This treatment will save your investment in an animal which cannot produce its best due to nerves.
Show Conditioning Blend 3.5 kg. Dose 1 cup twice daily: $148.50 (Note: The treatment is shipped in a 20 lt. bucket and is sufficient for a 8-10 week course) Show horse owners are always looking for the perfect coat. This blend works by tuning up the whole metabolism, while at the same time helping to boost the horses general health and acting as a preventative for most common illnesses. One cup is added to feed twice per day when you first start out by replacing most of your other supplements with this herbal formulation. After about three weeks it may be reduced to once per day.
Stallion Blend 3 kg. Dose 1 cup daily: $273 (Note: The treatment is shipped in a 20 lt. bucket and is sufficient for a 10-12 week course) For the breeding Stallion, this mixture contains herbs which stimulate the reproductive hormones, increase sperm count and at the same time promote nervous stability. Aspects of this blend are custom made to take into account the health and disposition of each individual horse and I advise you to contact me or my staff to discuss each case prior to our finalising the individual formulation.
Top Performance Blend 5 kg. Dose 1 cup twice daily: $184.25 (Note: The treatment is shipped in a 20 lt. bucket and is sufficient for a 5-6 week course) This blend is specifically designed to supplement the demands placed on competition horses being maintained at peak performance level. It has major anti-oxidant properties, tones up kidneys and adrenal glands, promotes higher blood oxygen levels for improved staying power and supports peak nervous and digestive system health. The results from using this blend will be seen in the speedier return to form after competition as well as the reduction of signs of over-stress such as tying up or lack of appetite. After experiencing the benefits of using this natural supplement many of the specific and harsh interventionist supplements like diuretics, acid balancers, iron tonics and the like can all be dropped to the further benefit of the animal which is so often over-treated with such things.
Trauma Drops 200 ml Bottles. Dose 5 ml as required: $76 (Note: The cap from the bottle holds approx 5ml) There are major advantages in reducing the shock caused by panic, accident or injury or by any acute illness condition. Homeopathic treatments plus herbal anti-inflammatories and tonics all help the horse recover its physical health quickly from trauma and minimize long term effects on its nervous system. This mix is another one which you must have at hand at all times. A bottle in the feed shed, one in the vehicle and another in the float tack box. These drops should be given directly by mouth preceding (as in the case of injections or surgery) if possible, and definitely immediately after, any trauma. The dose should be repeated several times over the next few hours depending on the severity of the shock. A few doses over the following couple of days is usually sufficient to ensure complete recovery from the trauma. This is one you can take yourself or give to an injured child or rider, as a first aid shock teatment, with absolute safety.
Travel Mix 1 lt. Bottle, Dose 20ml as per recipe, twice daily: $77.50.50 (Note: The cap from the bottle holds approx 10ml providing 7 weeks of continuous treatment) The Herbal Travel Mixes are formulated for individual animals, taking into account their own personality and experience. These consist of herbal extracts or decoctions to build up an animal's nervous system reserves, to ensure it is in thebest possible shape to cope with the stress of travel. They are given for three or four days prior to a trip, during the trip, for the time away, and continued for a day or so after returning home. After a couple of full courses usually it is sufficient to give it the night before, during the trip, and upon arrival.
Travel Trauma 500 ml Bottles, 10 ml/dose as required: $42.50 (Note: The cap from the bottle holds approx 10ml) The Travel Trauma Mix should be included in your first aid kit and travel in your tack box. It consists of a blend of suitable herbs and includes Rescue Remedy to help an animal traumatized during travel. These blends include herbal treatments for nervous and adrenal exhaustion, for kidney function in the case of dehydration, for heart stress in the case of prolonged panic, and for the immune system which always suffers as a result of stress. Also included are homeopathic treatments to minimize the effects of the trauma on the animal's trust, confidence and subsequent reaction to travel, competition, or tolerance to stress in general.
Rescue Remedy (200ml) - $27.50 (100ml) - $18.50 (50ml) - $11 (25ml) - $5.50 Dose: A few drops directly in the mouth or mixed with water and given with feed. One of the major considerations in treating for trauma - naturally after dealing with any life-threatening circumstance - is to deal with shock. Orthodox medicine has no specific treatment for shock whatsoever - which is amazing considering that shock plays such a major role in health and the effects of trauma. Shock can dramatically alter the outcome of surgery; shock can exacerbate the complications following any injury by savagely depleting the immune system and adrenal reserves; shock also often produces nervous system complications and reactions that can remain in the system forever after a traumatic incident. For this reason, the Bach Flower Rescue Remedy is an absolute must for your first aid kit. It works by settling down and resolving the various energy components of shock - fear, panic, the heart-stopping jolt of trauma, vulnerability and loss of control. A few drops of Bach Flower Rescue Remedy administered to both the patient and the person dealing with the incident immediately after trauma dramatically improves the outcome (it helps you make better decisions and to transmit calmer energy to the patient). It also effectively caps and unwinds the energy of shock spiraling out of control in the victim. In a serious case, following the first dose the remedy needs to be given again after a short interval, and then several more times that day and for the few days following. (Homeopathic Arnica 30c works to relieve the physical repercussions of shock in a similar manner. My personal preference however is to use the Bach Flower Rescue Remedy, as I see it covering more fully the emotional ramifications in addition to the physical.) Also included are homeopathic treatments to minimize the effects of the trauma on the animal's trust, confidence and subsequent reaction to travel, competition, or tolerance to stress in general.
