This mixture evolved over the years as the all purpose flu remedy in my own family's file at the clinic. By the time my kids had worked their way through every variation of viral and bacterial infection an all purpose mixture had evolved in the file which deals with all manner and combinations of bronchial, throat, sinus and ear infections.
The herbal mix includes - Yarrow, Rosehips, Garlic, Fenugreek, Echinacaea, Ginger, Thyme, Nettle and Liquorice along with the Bach Flowers Olive and Chestnut Bud.
This mix is best given very frequently (5 or 6 doses per day) at the earliest sign of flu and then continued for a couple of weeks after all signs have abated. My own children have never had antibiotics for any reason and that is not because I wouldn't give them if they were needed.
