Uterine Fibroids Herbal Treatment

Uterine leiomyomas, better known as uterine fibroids, are benign smooth muscle tumours of the uterus. As the most common tumour found in the female reproductive system, uterine fibroids are seen in 20-25% of all women and are estimated to occur in 40% of menstruating females older than 50 years.
Uterine fibroids can be seen at any time between menarche and menopause but most commonly occur in those aged 35-49 years. They typically resolve after menopause.
Fibroids affect the cyclical functioning of the uterus which involves forming a lining in preparation for a pregnancy and then shedding that lining each month with the female period. The symptoms are normally inappropriate spotting or bleeding during the month and heavier and longer periods at the end of each month.
Fibroids are not dangerous as such and often don’t interfere either, with fertility. However, they can prevent a conception from proceeding, they are responsible for a lot of pain and they can cause such severe blood loss as to cause anaemia and maybe require surgery.
Energetically, Fibroids are seen as a result of stagnation in the vitality and energy of the second Chakra and some energetic healing on this region is often helpful while treating the condition with herbs.
The herbs I include in my basic mix include Chamomile, Comfrey, Equisetum, Raspberry Leaf, Rosehips, Golden Seal and Maritime Pine along with the Bach Flower Remedies Wild Oat, Walnut, Scleranthus and Wild Rose.
This mix is taken three times daily, preferably in a glass of cold Rosehips Tea, and continued for 6 months or more. I can provide herbs that will reduce the bleeding in the short term, but I need you to start off with the basic treatment and then use these other herbs under my close supervision.
