Skin tags are small, soft, flesh coloured growths of excess tissue that hang from the skin. They usually occur in clusters on the armpits, eyelids, groin, neck and other body folds, Skin tags stay the same size and colour.
Skin tags are almost always benign. Skin tags are predisposed by heredity i.e., if a person's parents have skin tags, there is a high likelihood that the children will also have them.
Women are more likely to have skin tags then men. Generally, they appear during middle age. However, newborns will occasionally have skin tags.
If they are brown or change size or colour, I would suggest seeing a dermatologist to determine they are not something else. If they are indeed skin tags, there are several things you can do.
