KIDNEY FAILURE AND GREYHOUNDS
The following is an email from Robert's Inbox:
Hi Robert,
I don't know if you remember this case or not, but I think as I go on it will come to your mind, because I bugged you so much about how to deal with this one.
I first contacted you about June Christmas 2000. I collected her from the Uni Vet Surgery, as they had been treating her for 2 months for kidney failure. There had been no improvement in her condition and they advised that she may be better off is she was put to sleep to save her any more pain and misery.
They didn't know that I would be the last person to give up so easily.. I collected her and rang you for urgent advice. You helped me no end even ring me on Saturdays, when I needed to talk with you. Once on the herbal remedy that you suggested, and adhering to your feeding advice, we could see a slight improvement almost immediately.
Within 2 months the extremely high cretinine level had halved. Within 4 months it was even down further. We also contacted an acupuncturist, who upon examining her, confirmed that the kidneys had been in a very bad way. He proceeded to implant gold beads on pressure points of the body. This was all about 2 years ago.
Along with your help, the help of the acupuncturist and a lot of love and care, June has come a long way. To look at her now you would never know that she was the weak little dog we collected from the vet.
She finally came into a proper season 12 weeks ago. Being as healthy as she was and passed fit, she was mated to a very handsome gentleman greyhound. Her pregnancy went very smoothly, she looked better every day.
She has now produced some beautiful puppies, and June herself is glowing. She just looks so good and is so fit.

We thank you for all your efforts and your help through June's bad times, but I think it is all worth it when you can look at her and her puppies, looking so well. Sort of gives you goosebumps.
