I SUFFER FROM IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), IS THERE A CURE ?

Irritable bowel syndrome has its origins in a nervous system reaction, which disturbs the digestive system by increasing the speed of passage of food through the gut as a result of stress.
This reaction to stress results in the peristalsis being speeded up and the lining of the bowel becoming irritated because chemical reactions, which are not being fully completed in stages above the bowel allow irritant chemicals into the bowel which break down the lining. The lining then being sensitive and sore perpetuates the process of rushing material through with the resultant gas and pain being a constant feature of the persons life.
To treat the condition therefore I address both the nervous system and then the inflamed bowel wall using a specific herbal formulation to retrain and heal these processes. I give dietary advice (mostly aiming for a lower fibre diet for a period of time, reduced demands on the liver and a course of the herbal Slippery Elm Bark Powder for 12 weeks)
This approach is extremely successful and I have gastro intestinal surgeons in my local town refer patients to me as an alternative to surgery in severe cases.
As you can see wheatgrass and its healing properties really plays no part in my approach to IBS.
