Herbal Help for Humans and their Companions

Amazing

Amazing we think when we hear about people who have gone on to not only survive the most shocking up-bringing or traumas in their early lives but live a full and creative life. All we can say is that there is a force that we do not understand , that protects and fosters their physical, mental and emotional health under the most adverse conditions.

We have no idea how one person will go on to make a great and healthy life and another with a similar background may commit suicide or sucumb to debilitating diseases , except to say that individuals with a certain personality pattern seem to have different types of difficulty in resisting the trauma, the accident or the bacteria. Maybe the line in the song is right "Tis grace hath brought me safe thus far" or is it just pure chance , a quirk, a twist of fate?

M. Scott Peck explains that our conscious mind is about 5% of all that we can access which includes the vast richness of our unconscious mind. Is it that some of us tap into this vast resource and some don't? But how do we tap into it? M. Scott Peck suggests we need to take more note of our dreams, our idle thoughts, intuition and slips of the tongue. Carl Jung called this the collective unconscious; an inherited wisdom or memory from our ancestors. Maybe some of us tell ourselves different stories, some with a positive twist some with a negative one. Some of us take up the challenges that life throws with heart and courage and all the soul forces available to humanity.

Next week we will look at how to foster soul forces in our children.

This week we feature:-

Canine - Heart Failure

Recently we had a call from a distressed dog owner asking about heart failure. "We came home yesterday to find her "puffed" coughing and very blue in the mouth. We visited our local vet who diagnosed heart failure."

We suggested the herbal heart tonic which is a great support for any sort of heart condition and should be ideal to start on asap.

In the first instance just let her take it easy for the next little while and make up a tea of fresh parsley in boiling water which should be left to go cold and stored in the refrigerator. Get some Rescue Remedy from the health food store and give her a few drops of this in about 20 drops of the parsley tea to help keep her going.

and switch over to this treatment at a dose rate of 10 drops twice daily in the first instance indefinitely in place of the parsley and Rescue Remedy . This can be used along side or instead of any other prescriptions.

Equine - What type of cough is that?

A cough with lethargy is possibly a bronchial infection whereas a springtime or summer cough without lethargy is likely to be an allergic type of cough.

It is a good idea to treat any cough early to avoid having to proceed through antibiotics and such like. When faced with a possible bronchial infection we have a very good herbal upper respiratory herbal preventative/cure which works by building up the immunity so that the animal can fight the infection on his own.

See the the link:

I recommend a course of this treatment to clear the cough and to continue for a couple of weeks after the symptoms have gone to rebuild the immunity.

Simple, safe and do-it-yourself.

Human - Adhesions

Adhesions are common after abdominal surgery and I do have a treatment program which I use to help soften and to begin to reabsorb all this connective tissue which has attempted to protect you from further intrusions.

This program consists of an internal program of concentrated herbal extract drops taken as a supplement over the long term and is described on the link:
http://www.softwaresolutions.com.au/herbs_abdominal_adhesions_protective.html

Depending on how severe the situation is, it may take a while to completely reduce the pain you are experiencing but you should notice some improvements within the first month.

If this is the case you will know that the work of softening and reabsorbing has begun and that it will continue. The process will have been reversed and you will not need to face the prospect of further and further problems which could result if the advance of this scarring is never turned around.

Home Remedies - Migraines

1. Equine Show Coat Mix

  • Dry mix of 600 gm each of Borage, Nettle, Fenugreek and Dandelion leaf, 200 gr of Rosemary and Chamomile and 1kg of Kelp. Add 1 cup of this mix twice a day to feed for a few weeks then cut down to 1 cup a day as an maintenance dose.
  • Consider giving a teaspoon of cod liver oil mixed into half acup of either corn or sunflower oil.
  • Be selective of the shampoo you use and do not wash too often as shampoo strips natural oils.
  • Swim your horse in salt water if you can.
  • Horses grow thicker coats naturally in winter, however a healthy horse will have a shiny coat regardless of the season.

Natural herbal products are effective, readily available and cheaper than topical, internal Commercial "Shiners" .

    2. Human Dental Phobia and Panic

    The answer is simple:-
  • Rescue Remedy, Rescue Remedy and more Rescue Remedy. Take the stuff before during and after dental visits (ask the dental assistant to place a drop or two in your mouth every time she stops suction), take it whenever you think about a dentist, take it whenever you feel panicky about anything.

  • Arnica Homeopathically is renowned for its ability to reduce shock, pain, bruising and inflammation following dental work. Start taking an hour before the work begins and every 30 minutes after for the first 3 hours.
