MY HORSE STUMBLES, WHAT CAN I DO?

From a holistic point of view there can only be two possible origins to the problem.

1. Some defect in the physical systems. It could be pain or injury in the hoof, which would show up as lameness, or some other injury, which would also show up as lameness. Since you don't mention that the horse is lame and it surely would have shown up by now, this is probably not the difficulty. Therefore the physical problem could only really be a ligament strength or elasticity problem where a condition exists, whereby a ligament is overly taut or too stretchy and it can at times catch the horse unawares and cause a stumble without any pain involved.

2. Some defect in the nerve messages travelling back and forth and resulting in a temporary loss of control again without pain but just resulting in a judgement lack at a critical moment.

Neither of these two situations will be cured by trimming, and neither will they be picked up by X-ray.

First you need to be sure that an intermittent sharp pain is not involved. You should get hold of an equine chiropractor to test for any such painful movements. If they find none then they should test all the ligament movement and range to cover possibility #1 above. They may be able to advise on physical exercises or whatever and I can dramatically support the return to normal elasticity of ligaments if this proves to be the case.

If nothing shows up with this first approach we will assume that the problem is primarily nervous in origin and I can support the regeneration of damaged or under functioning nerves.

Let me know what you find and you will not end up regretting a hasty and expensive decision. I am sure I can assist once the situation is clarified.
